Class 3: The ODSP Application: Best Practices

Your progress: 0% completed

Class Topics:

  • Part A: Best Practices for Completing the Health Status Report
  • Part B: Best Practices for Completing the Intellectual & Emotional Wellness Scale
  • Part C: Best Practices for Completing the Intervention & Treatment Pages
  • Part D: Best Practices for Completing the Activities of Daily Living Index

Our goal for this class is to help you understand what information ODSP is looking for in each section of the application, and so to avoid denials because of incomplete or missing information. If the application is denied, your patient will have to start an appeals process that can take years to complete. Ensuring the application is well completed will help your patient get the income support they need. It may also save you time in the long run too, as healthcare providers are usually asked to provide additional medical evidence on appeal.
